We will have a Maundy Thursday Service at 7 pm Thursday night with Michael Blythe speaking. There will be lunch and an Easter egg hunt Saturday at noon. We will have 10:00 service on Sunday for Easter.

This Sunday, we will have Worship Service at 10:00, followed by Sunday School. We hope to see you there.

Don't forget our Valentine Pizza Party after church this Sunday!

This is a little late, but we wanted to give a big Thanks to everyone who participated in or helped with our Christmas Program last Saturday night (12/15). We had 16 youth involved with the program and the gift exchange. Leading up to the day of the program, most of those kids and a lot of parents took part in a season of giving, where the youth made Christmas cards, Christmas crafts, visited the nursing home, and sold bake goods at the South Hill Farmers Market to raise money for angel tree gifts. We look forward to more good things in the upcoming year.

Our Christmas Program is Saturday, Dec 15th at 5:00. We'll have a party after that. Everyone is invited!

Salem's Sunday School and Worship Service are cancelled for tomorrow (Sun 12/9). Practice for the Christmas program will be Thursday night. Our Christmas Program is next Saturday, Dec 15th at 5:00. We'll have a party after that. Everyone is invited!

Because of the snow that's likely to come on Sunday, we are having to reschedule the kids Christmas crafts and lunch that was scheduled for Sunday afternoon. Instead, we will continue with our plan to go visiting at Pine View in South Hill on Saturday morning at 10. After that, we will meet back at Salem Church where the kids will work on their Christmas craft projects and we will have pizza there. Please spread the word about our activities on Saturday and anyone else that would like to join us is welcome.

On Wednesday (12/5) our pastor Michael Blythe will be the guest speaker for the weekly Advent service at Centenary United Methodist Church in Chase City. The service is from 12 to 12:30 with a light lunch following. For those who have not had the opportunity to hear our pastor preach, here's your chance. We know you won't be disappointed.

On Saturday from 10-2, some of Salem's youth will have a booth at the Christmas Farmers Market in South Hill. They'll be selling baked goods so that they can raise money for two angel tree recipients. So if you are able to, please stop by and look for the Salem Church table and support them in a worthy cause.
